Matted and framed Elbert Hubbard letter, dated May 1, 1914, with Roycroft Shop masthead. Very good condition.
The letter reads: "Dear Friend: Here is a book which is peculiar, unique, artistic - different. I want you to see it, so I've sent it right along to gladden your heart. It contains a handwritten note, dated Aug. 7th, 1938, that reads: "These treasures placed in this chest, which was mothers and purchased by her at Roycroft in N.Y. about July 1917. Dad". Orb & cross mark, ca. 1910 .
